Care Packages for our Troops

Today, students should be bringing home an order form for a Veteran's Day Activity-Care Packages Fundraiser. Flyer

We will be taking pre-orders via the order form for little plastic army men. The army men will be ordered via the order form and a soldier, veteran, or the troops can be recognized via the form. Students should turn in forms with money throughout the week of October 31st to their homeroom/advisory teacher. All forms and money are due November 4th so that FBLA members can write the messages on the parachutes that will be attached to the army men.  Order Form

Once the army men have been purchased by the students and messages have been written, we will begin displaying them in each building in honor of Veteran's Day. They will remain displayed until Veteran's Day and then will be returned to the students afterwards.

All money raised will be used to purchase items for care packages for the troops currently serving.

If you have questions, please email Mrs. Berning, FBLA Adviser at This is a district-wide activity and we look forward to raising money as a district for this worthy cause.

During the spring 2016 semester, I will be working with a student-teacher from Missouri State University.  Please help me welcome her to Clever!  Here is her letter to parents and students:

Parent and Student Letter

Dear Parents and Students,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Kayla Fieser, I am a student teacher. I am also a student at Missouri State University, where I am pursuing a Master’s of Arts in Teaching, Business is my content area. I love teaching business because, I feel it is a vast and growing field in which your students can bridge into great careers.  I believe students will grow and develop by examining as well as practicing the issues we will cover in class.
Students, I am thrilled to be a part of your learning experience. Please, feel free to ask me any questions, I am here to guide you toward success as a student. I know this will be a great semester and I look forward to getting to know each of you.
Parents, I have high expectations for my students as well as parents and guardians.  I firmly believe in student responsibility and in teaching students to be advocates for themselves. I, with the help of the cooperating teacher, aim to provide your student with the best learning experience based on your student’s needs. I look forward to having your student in class. I hope you feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.

I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to work with your student this semester.

Thank you,

Mrs. Kayla Fieser
